Second semester of the 2009-2010 school year I served as director of choirs at Fresno City College while Julie Dana was on sabbatical leave.  I directed the Concert Choir and City Singers.  We immediately began working on Beethoven's Ninth Symphony which we were to sing with the CSUF Concert and Community Choirs and the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra in early March.  We took a trip to do a festival at College of Canyons in Valencia, CA, and the City Singers sang for the Certificate of Honors and Graduation Exercises, and the two choirs performed in a spring concert in mid May.  This was a very enjoyable experience for me working with college level students.
